Education and Training Facilitator
Permanent Part-time – 8 hrs pw

We have created an opportunity for the right person to join The YACC Project and help us grow our unique programs for young people 13 – 18 years.

The YACC Project was founded in 2017 with a vision to provide an alternative learning environment for young people who were seeking something different to traditional education.

With three years of successful delivery in Mandurah, we are now ready to engage a passionate Education and Training Facilitator who is also seeking to take their career to a new place and challenge themselves with new and different paradigms of delivering education and training.

We are looking for someone who is able to deliver on our Vision and Mission, and lives our core values of inclusivity, creativity and aspiration.

You will be a natural leader who values the opportunity to build and contribute to a community. You will be smart, resourceful, tech savvy and a lifelong learner with excellent communication skills and a natural rapport with teenagers. You will have demonstrated throughout your career, an ability to work with others, but also enjoy working autonomously.

It would be desirable for you to have a background in business, education, training and/or youth work. You do not need to be a teacher, but if you are, you need to be ready for a big paradigm shift!

We will provide all of the necessary training and support for you to deliver our unique programs and you will be given the opportunity to have input and develop professional practices as we grow and expand.

Initially, you will be employed for 8 hours per week, comprising of 6 hours face-to-face and 2 hours non face-to-face, however, based on your successful performance, we will be looking to expand the role within 6 – 12 months.

Your contract will be for 12 months, beginning March 2020 and you will work only during the designated school terms. Your wages will be commensurate with your qualifications and experience.
