Career, Life and Transition Coaching for young people 14 years and over

All of our coaching sessions are private and confidential, ensuring our young clients develop the deep sense of trust that is critical to the success of the coaching program they have engaged.

We always encourage the young client to initiate conversations with those adults that will support their progress and of course, parents/guardians are always informed if we believe the client requires more specialised services such as counselling, therapy and/or medical intervention.

Coaching sessions are up to one hour long. They can be delivered face-to-face at our Mandurah premises, or online if you are unable to travel.

Career Coaching

Sometimes young people become confused, and in the extreme, anxious about their future. In this rapidly changing world, it can be daunting to consider what the future might hold. When a young person is given the opportunity to feel secure and positive about the next steps, we often observe a change in the well-being of our young client. They now feel more in control and purposeful in their decisions.

Our career coaching sessions move our client through a process of discovering and then exploring their unique personality and strengths.

Armed with this self-knowledge, our career coach will support the development of a career pathway plan that resonates with the client.

Further and subsequent sessions are available to focus on goal setting and tracking results, adjusting the plan when necessary.

** FREE service for young people currently attending school or registered for home-schooling!

Available from 1st January to 1st March 2020.

In this one hour session, you will receive help with job applications, resume writing and career pathway planning.

Transition Coaching

The adolescent experiences many transitions during these crucial years. Not only are they transitioning from child to adult, but sometimes the family dynamic is changing, they may be moving schools, relocating to a new home, managing relationship changes and life can sometimes feel chaotic when adults are making all the decisions.

It is important for many young people, to feel a sense of stability and control. These coaching sessions support the young client through these transitional periods, which are generally temporary, but none-the-less, significant.

Life Coaching

It is not always obvious to the young person, or those around them, what the “problem” or “issue” is that may be leading to negative feelings, thoughts and/or behaviours.

Our life coaching sessions are designed to support the young client through a process of exploring their life holistically, in both the broad and more specific sense, resulting in feelings of well-being and purpose.

Together with the coach, areas to further develop are identified and practical goals are set that will assist the young client to move forward with a sense of empowerment.

Coaching sessions will allow for tracking of results and further adjustments to the plan, where necessary or desired.

Our Coaches

I am Veronica Smith, Founder of The YACC Project and the Lifecode for Youth Coaching program.

My aim in creating this coaching program for young people was to provide accessible and affordable support for my clients in a safe, nurturing and empowering manner. I want my clients to feel confident and assured about themselves, their future and their relationship with self and others.

As a mum of six young adult men myself, and having worked with thousands of young people over my career in secondary education and training, I understand that the adolescent years can be smooth sailing for some, and a complex and confusing time, for many others.

I am looking forward to working with that special young person in your life!
